DR. ISAAC OSEI-AKOTO
Dr. Osei-Akoto holds a PhD degree in development economics and has been working with ISSER as a research fellow since 1999.
His areas of interest include issues relating to poverty and provision of public goods and services. He has skills in the design and analysis of socio-economic surveys and has been working quite extensively on issues concerning financing and behavioural changes resulting from policy reforms in the health care sector in Ghana. He has conducted research in all regions of Ghana on various development issues. Dr. Osei-Akoto is the current Co-ordinator of the sub-degree programme for Certificate and Diploma Courses in Statistics at ISSER. He has been teaching Research Methods and Techniques, Microeconomics, Applied Quantitative Analysis and Econometrics; all at Legon. He is very conversant with datasets gathered from the Ghana Living Standard Surveys, Demographic and Health Surveys, and the Core Welfare Indicators Questionnaires. He has also been serving as a resource person in short courses on data management and data analysis organised annually by ISSER.
DR. NINO SEKYERE-BOAKYE
Dr. Nino Sekyere-Boakye has a combination of Academic and professional background in the field of marketing and Marketing Research. In academia, he has a M.A in Professional Marketing, M.A in Culture and Society, and a B.A. (hons) in Sociology. He is currently pursuing a PhD in consumer behavior with special interest in Diffusion of Innovation. He has been involved in marketing activities/marketing research for several Multinational companies, Non Governmental organizational and Government Departments. Some of the organizations he has worked with and for are:Procter and Gamble, Unilever, Coca Cola, Royal Dutch Shell Oil Company, Exon Mobil
Western Union Money Transfer, British American Tobacco, Docep – Department of Employment and Consumer Protection, Department of Education, USAID – United States Agency for International Development, CIDA – Canadian International Development Agency and Safe the Children Fund.

Ireneus holds a B.A (Hons) degree in Political Science and Masters of Science degree in Marketing and Business management from UK. He began his research career 10 years ago as an interviewer. He has over the years worked in various capacities ie field supervisor, executive interviewer; research executive and snr. research executive. He handled research projects for various multi-national companies including Unilever, Multi-choice, Guinness, Cadbury, MTN, Coca Cola, Nestle, VOA, RFI and BBC etc.
He is also well versed in the use and application of various research methods, tools and software. Ireneus has undertaken training programmes in Project Management and Reporting writing at the Institute of Social and Economic Research (University of Ghana).
MR MATTHEW KOFIE
Matthew is a graduate of the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), University of Ghana. He received further training in Marketing Research at the University of Georgia, USA and a member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Matthew has worked on several social research projects with leading scholars in Ghana. He has over 9 years experience in data analysis and project management with varieties of statistical software. He has experience with a broad range of Clients in FMCG, Industrial, Financial services, Media, NGOs and Telecommunication. He specializes in Product Testing, Pricing Study, Segmentation and large-scale U&A studies, marketing and research skills.
MENSAH KOJO SEDZRO
Research Analyst/ Information Systems Manager
Sedzro is a trained statistician (BSc.and MSc Applied Statistics) with analytical skills and high proficiency in multivariate analysis techniques and statistical data modeling using advanced statistical packages such as STATA, SPSS,SAS, SYSTAT, AMOS, etc.
He began his research career several years ago as a research assistant to a renowned statistician Professor Nicholas Nsowah-Nuamah of ISSER, Legon and former deputy government statistian. Sedzro’s expertise stretches over a wide range of accounts, ranging from consumer FMCG to advance direct marketing modeling. He is an integral member of the team whose analytic skills are being consulted right from the design stage of projects through to delivery. Apart from market research activities, he also lecturers in Statistical computing and data mining.
